Her smile widened as she moved closer to him. She placed a hand on his chest as her lips met his in a gentle and soft kiss. She nodded and released a soft breath. “It’s alright.” She shrugged and fisted her hand in his shirt, “Really, I’m alright. It’s the job.” She leaned in once more and captured his lips with her, “I missed you, too, though.” She nudged his nose and frowned, “Speaking of which, shouldn’t you be spending the night with Jack? Or is he at Jess’ again?”She blushed slightly at his words and glanced around the living room, “i couldn’t decide… I picked out three different ones, but I’d like it better if you decided on the winner.” She kissed his cheek and reached over him to get to her glass. “Oh, Diana called earlier… Well, a few minutes before you did.” She sipped from her glass, eyeing him over the top of it. She set it back down on the table and smiled, “Says she’d like us to accompany her and Ken for dinner Friday night.”
He laughed and nodded, “Yeah. Ken called me. I was going to ask you about that tonight, but since Diana spoke with you too, I assume that you’ve already been giving it thought.” He tilted his head and kissed her forehead, “I was thinking that it might be an okay idea. Maybe we need a little time out without having a team member with us. Ken’s a good friend of mine and I like that we have a couple that we can spend time with.”
He licked his lips and eyed the movies then nodded at the romantic comedy, “Let’s watch that one.” He curled her closer, “I think we need a little humor.” He tucked her hair off her face and smiled widely, “I love seeing you laugh. “
She raised an eyebrow and turned into his side, a smile glazing her lips. “Hm, I have been, actually..” She eyed him carefully, letting her eyes trace over his distinct and handsome features. “I agree. It might be nice to get out for a bit… To enjoy life and ourselves.” She shrugged and brushed her hand against his cheek, “I think we should go.” She leaned in slowly and pressed her lips to his cheek.
She looked down at the movie down on the coffee table he had motioned to and smiled a bit wider, “A romantic comedy? Really? I never would have pinned you down as one of those guys.” She leaned her head on his shoulder and grinned, releasing a soft breathless chuckle. “I like it… It’s sweet.” She blushed slightly as she met his gaze. “Yeah?”
She paused and glanced down at the pantsuit she happened to still be wearing from the work day. She rolled her eyes and shook her head. “I hardly think that’s fair. Who says I’m even wearing it now.” She teased slightly and smirked.
Something in the pit of her stomach…
Her smile widened as she moved closer to him. She placed a hand on his chest as her lips met his in a gentle and soft kiss. She nodded and released a soft breath. “It’s alright.” She shrugged and fisted her hand in his shirt, “Really, I’m alright. She set it back down on the table and smiled, “Says she’d like us to accompany her and Ken for dinner Friday night.”
He chuckled and grabbed his leather jacket then paused and set it down. “I’m glad you are too, sweetheart. Pick a movie. Something happy. I’ll be there soon with food. And Emily…” He ran a hand over his hair, “Change out of the suit. I want you to relax.” He hung up then darted to hi bedroom, shedding his suit pants and changing into his jeans. He grabbed his coat as he left with a spring in his step. He was getting time alone with her.
He called the Chinese place as he drove and placed an order for their food and a surprise for her. He liked giving her little surprises. Even if she complained about not liking surprises her eyes would light up like a child at Christmas. He love seeing tht innocence in her face.
She paused and glanced down at the pantsuit she happened to still be wearing from the work day. She rolled her eyes and shook her head. “I hardly think that’s fair. Who says I’m even wearing it now.” She teased slightly and smirked.
Something in the pit of her stomach bubbled with excitement. He was finally coming over to her apartment. They would finally be alone. She moved swiftly from her kitchen as she began to shed the jacket off her shoulders. As she neared her bedroom, She stepped out of the pants and sighed, looking for a pair of sweats and an old shirt. She’d decided on a tank when she heard the knock on her door.
She finished within her bedroom, spritzing herself with a spray of her perfume before closing the bedroom door after her exit. She tried to control the certain bounce in her step as she made her way to the front door. She inhaled softly and reached for the lock. She slid the bolt and pulled the door open, her eyes lighting up to their normal hue after the long day of events.
“Hotch, hi.” She took a step back and stepped back out of his way. She reached for the bag of food in his hand and grasped it, placing it on the coffee table in the middle of her living room. She turned on her heel and glanced at him, a large smile painted on her lips. “Thanks, how are you?” She turned fully on him and walked over to him, reaching for his hand, and taking it in her smaller one. She led him to the couch and sat him down, “I’ll be right back.” She stood and walked into the joint kitchen, grabbing the bottle of alcohol and two glasses from the counter. She returned with them in both hands and smiled. She was still unsure in where they were in their relationship. They had barely seen each other all week, and last, and he was acting like they were a real couple. Surely bosses didnt just call their subordinates sweetheart. No, this was all something new. And it scared her slightly to realize that a fairly large part of her liked it. And she liked it alot. She loved seeing her boss this way. Never missing the way his eyes always seemed to brighten when she caught his eyes. The way his lips would curve in that charming smile, and then there was the dimples. Oh, those damned dimples. How could anyone resist them?
She swallowed, her smile never wavering. Could they get away with this? It was clearly against the rules, and if anyone found out, their jobs would be on the line. She released a soft sigh as she poured him a glass of the wine.
She had just gotten into her apartment when a shrill ringing filled the air. She sighed softly, setting down her go-bag as she grabbed the cordless phone. She plopped down on her couch, unrecognizing the number. She rubbed her…
At the sound of his voice, a smile crossed her face slowly. “Hotch, hi.” Her heart began to speed up as she listened to him ramble on. Had he always been this adorable? She released a breathless laugh and smiled a bot wider, still trying to stifle her yawns. “Oh, Hotch. I don’t know. It’s late, and… I’m exhausted from the case, and-” She sighed, listening as he tried to persuade her. She nodded and bit her lip, beginning to give in to his requests. Dinner did sound good, especially during a movie. “I… haven’t eaten yet, no.” She shrugged and switched hands that held the phone, “That actually sounds tempting. I guess I’ll take that, then… But only if you stick to your word about the Chinese and bring me some of the mu shu pork that I love!” She laughed softly and grinned widely, “I’ve got a bottle of wine here, and a few movies. Whatever you’d prefer.” She didn’t understand how he could make her feel like this just by talking to her. She felt like she could open up to him and tell him anything. Her stomach growled softly and she stood up from her couch with a grunt before walking to her kitchen and grabbing another bottle of wine from the refrigerator.
“Yeah, come over anytime. I’ll be here.” She closed her eyes and placed the bottle onto the counter. “I, um… I’m glad… that you’re okay, I mean.. after the case.” She blushed slightly and sighed. How was it that this man could make her feel like this. Not just Agent Prentiss, but Emily. She felt like a normal woman again. It showed her that she was still human, even after the job.
She had just gotten into her apartment when a shrill ringing filled the air. She sighed softly, setting down her go-bag as she grabbed the cordless phone. She plopped down on her couch, unrecognizing the number. She rubbed her eyes and leaned back against the plush sofa,…
Emily released a breath and closed her eyes, groaning loudly at being bothered by the phone again. She hadn’t even eaten yet. All she had time to do was to pick up a small container of Chinese food and then after she had returned to her apartment. She clicked the phone back on and mumbled a soft greeting, “Prentiss..” She yawned, her eyes fluttering closed with each passing moment. The energy she had had just hours earlier had been drained.
Emily stifled another yawn and scrubbed her hand down the side of her cheek. She sipped her glass of wine and resisted the urge to moan. She took in a deep breath and swallowed. The case had been exhausting for all of them, hard on all of them. Another case about kids being abducted. These were the hardest for Emily. Children and rape cases. She sighed softly and rubbed her temple, letting the wine take her in.
She had just gotten into her apartment when a shrill ringing filled the air. She sighed softly, setting down her go-bag as she grabbed the cordless phone. She plopped down on her couch, unrecognizing the number. She rubbed her eyes and leaned back against the plush sofa, groaning from the aches in her body.
“Prentiss.”
“Emily! Hi, it’s Diana, from the wedding!” Diana’s voice was loud and rushed as she continued, “Aaron gave me your number at the wedding.” Emily could practically hear the smile spread across her face.
“Oh, hey, how are you?” It had been two weeks since the wedding, and barely anything had happened between Emily and her unit chief. She sighed softly as she began to think about him. The way he caressed her cheek, touched her hips, and the way his unbelievably soft lips had plundered hers that night. A dampness began to heat her as she closed her eyes just thinking about his touches. He was so… Memorizing. The red head’s sharp voice broke her from her fantasy.
“I’m great! We just returned from our honeymoon in Hawaii. How’s Aaron?” Emily smiled and coughed softly as she began to pick at her nails. “Um, he’s good. We’re good, I guess.”
“You guess? Oh, come on, Emily! Well, anyways, Ken and I were planning on going out Friday night to celebrate, and we only thought it’d be better if you and Aaron came along with us.”
Emily paused for a moment and cleared her throat before running a hand through her hair. “Oh, that’s… Sweet. I’d have to ask him, actually-“
“Actually, Ken said he was going to call him soon. Well, I hope you both can come. It’d be great to see you both again!” Before Emily could answer, the phone clicked off, leaving her alone in her apartment to contemplate the offer.
Ken dialed Aaron’s number from the other room, “Hey, bro!”
She nodded slowly, her lips separating in a wide smile as she caught his hand on her cheek. She stopped his hand, and took it in her hands, giving it a gentle squeeze, “Yes, I think that sounds great, thank you.” She nudged him and stared up at him amused, “No, not corny. Not corny at all.” She winked and pressed her lips to the corner of his and sighed softly. “We both were. But we’ll make it up to eachother. It’ll be worth it. Eventually.” She smiled wider and released his hand, “You’ve already shown me that, tonight. I really had a great time with you, and I’m glad. It’s been awhile since I’ve smiled this much with a man.” She grinned and nodded, nuzzling his neck. “Coffee it is, then. Where to?” She sighed softly and leaned back in her seat. Never would she have ever thought she’d grow to love a man. She didn’t even mind his help, or that he cared about her. It was the first time she actually felt loved.
He nodded and grinned slightly, “How do you feel about my place? It’s close and we can relax a little more there. No people to worry about, no politics. Just us.” He took her hand gently, “Maybe we can sit on my sofa and watch the news.” He gave her hand a squeeze and relaxed in the comfort he got from her. He sighed and licked his lips, “I have a bottle of whiskey I got from Dave a few years ago…. Haven’t had anyone to open it with…”
She glanced up at him at the feel of his touch against her and grinned widely. “I’d like that.” She brushed her fingers against his cheek and paused, “No politics?” A dimple appeared and indented her cheek as her eyes looked at him. She frowned slightly and inhaled, her mind finally catching up to reality. She pulled from his grasp slowly and shook her head as she swallowed. “Aaron, what are we doing?” She bit her lip and closed her eyes briefly, “I mean with us. We-we can’t do this. You’re my boss.” She ran a hand through her hair and sighed. “There are rules. Rules we have to follow. I don’t want you to lose your job because of me, and… I just don’t know.” She shrugged and looked up at him.

She smiled warmly and affectionately before nodding and following him to the dance floor. “Hm, I second that.” She…
She chuckled softly and shook her head, “Oh, you’re just saying that.” She eyed him with dark eyes and grinned slowly, “I do appreciate it, though.. Thank you.” She pressed her lips to his cheek and caressed his cheek with her palm, “Ready when you are.” She pulled back, placing her hand in his and walked to the car at his side. As soon as they were in the car, she turned towards him and pressed her lips to his passionately, giving in to her hunger. She moaned softly and nibbled gently on his lower lip. She pulled back breathless and raised an eyebrow, “Hm, Jack.. Should we plan on just keeping this between us the first few times, and slowly ease him into it? I don’t want to make him uncomfortable with this.. And he’s still young. Who knows what he’ll think.” She released a soft breath she hadn’t realize she had been holding and chewed her lip. “Whatever we do, I think Jack should have a say in it.”
